The Berkeley Seal

UC Berkeley’s seal is derived from the University of California’s official seal. It is an important part of our heritage and reinforces our legacy of leadership. We recommend using it in advancement communications when you prefer a more official university appearance. For something more informal, the Berkeley word mark is sufficient.

Clearance

  • Minimum size ⅞” or 80px
  • Minimum space around seal is ⅛ its height. (⅛ X in the image below).

Guidelines

  • The Berkeley seal can also be used in one-color applications (in PMS 540), grayscale, and in black only (for black-and-white applications).
