Managed by University Development and Alumni Relations (UDAR), this website provides visual, editorial, and administrative tools designed specifically to resonate with donors and alums. Honoring Berkeley traditions and history, advancement branding emphasizes enduring, iconic elements — such as the seal, sophisticated colors, and elegant typography — that stoke pride and connection. Yet it also remains contemporary and forward-thinking. Use this toolkit for all advancement communications.

Editorial style
In general, UDAR uses the Associated Press Stylebook, the university’s foundational style guide. The guide on this site covers content specific to Berkeley or advancement communications, including academic terms, athletics style, bias-free language, and university references.
